These platforms will soon allow all types of euro-denominated bonds by non-sovereign issuers to be traded across Europe, regardless of their place of issue.

The launching forum of the European trading bond platforms issued from the Cassiopeia Committee initiative

Since April 2010, the Committee has held precise exchanges of views on corporate bonds platforms with four market undertakings, and issued public opinions on three of them. These opinions were based on presentations, technical documents and several meetings with the market undertaking representatives. www.cassiopee-bonds.com, will continue to issue information about the implementation of these projects.

The Cassiopeia Committee, considers that the MTS project proposes a secondary market organization in line with the Cassiopeia basic scheme.

In response to the Cassiopee Committee’s Expression of Needs document, MTS hereby presents its own proposal, which aims to be as consistent as is possible with the operating principles and technical specifications outlined in the document.

The Cassiopeia Committee came to the common opinion that "Galaxy" describes a platform for secondary market transactions on corporate bonds very much in line with the Cassiopeia scheme as published in the "Expression of Needs", on April 26th, 2010

The Cassiopeia Committee publishes today its opinion on the NYSE Euronext’s project for an European corporate bond platform, the first one presented to the Committee. The Committee came consensually to the opinion that the NYSE Euronext project proposes a secondary market organization in line with the Cassiopeia basic scheme

The Cassiopeia Committee developed what we see as the basis of a rule book for any new MTF to enter the electronic European institutional corporate bond arena. This could potentially represent part of the path EuroTLX could take to expand in Europe.

Following the Cassiopeia committee’s work which aims to put down the industry basis of a European Corporate Bond platform, TradingScreen has started a project which aims to create the first bond MTF in Europe.

Euronext Paris SA's bond trading platform will have the form of a multilateral trading facility, hereinafter the "Cassiopée MTF platform". Its activity will focus on the trading of corporate bonds issued in Europe and denominated in euro. It will be subject to the measures relating to market abuse such as those defined for example, in France, by articles 524-1 and following of the General Regulation of the AMF (French Financial Markets Authority).
